GAP India: 2023-2024 Chapter 1 – Definitions 1.7 GROW

A ‘Gestation Related Optimal Weight’  (GROW) standard is based on the term optimal weight
calculated for that pregnancy and can be used to assess EFW and Birthweight.

A centile below the 10th or 3rd can be used as a better proxy for pathological smallness (i.e. FGR),
as the calculation has been adjusted for physiological variation.

TOW = Term Optimal Weight
